DigitalOcean Spaces

DigitalOcean Spaces is S3-compatible. In ConstellaWP, choose provider DigitalOcean Spaces. The endpoint is derived as https://{region}.digitaloceanspaces.com.

Prerequisites

Section titled “Prerequisites”
  • A DigitalOcean account with Spaces enabled
  • Permission to create Spaces and Spaces access keys
  • ConstellaWP role owner or admin

Steps

Section titled “Steps”

  1. In the DigitalOcean control panel, open Spaces and create a Space. Note the name (this is the bucket) and the region (for example nyc3, fra1). Keep the Space private.

  2. Open API → Spaces Keys (or the Spaces access keys page) and generate a new key. Copy Access Key and Secret Key.

  3. In ConstellaWP, go to Storage → Add Destination:

    • Provider: DigitalOcean Spaces
    • Fill the fields from the table below
    • Save, then Test connection

Field mapping

Region Space datacenter slug, for example nyc3 — not a display name like “New York”

Common errors

Error Likely cause
PermanentRedirect / 301 Region does not match the Space (fra1 vs nyc3)
AccessDenied Key cannot write or delete; Spaces keys are account-wide — confirm the key was not revoked
InvalidAccessKeyId DigitalOcean personal access token pasted instead of a Spaces key
SignatureDoesNotMatch Secret key truncated or swapped with the access key
